Mrs. Woodfield – SENDCo & Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Woodfield, and I am proud to be part of the wonderful team here at Bildeston. Teaching has always been my passion, and I feel incredibly privileged to play a role in shaping the learning journeys of the children in our school. I am dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
My journey in education began with a BA Honours in Education, followed by a PGCE in Primary Education. I started my teaching career in Upper Key Stage 2, working with both Year 5 and Year 6. After relocating to Suffolk in 2020, I quickly returned to full-time teaching in Lower Key Stage 2, taking on the role of English and RE Lead.
With the ever-evolving education system and curriculum updates, I take great pride in staying up to date with new developments. I am committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending training to enhance my practice and ensure I provide the best possible education for the children in my care.
In addition to my teaching role, I completed an NPQ and qualified as a Lead Practitioner. This has enabled me to support staff through CPD, offering guidance to enhance the delivery of high-quality teaching across all subjects. I am always seeking ways to develop my practice and create an environment where all children have the opportunity to thrive.
Alongside my teaching, I have developed a strong passion for the SENDCo role. Supporting children with additional needs and ensuring they receive the right interventions and opportunities to succeed is incredibly important to me. I am now working as SENDCo alongside Mrs. Clarke at Whatfield, striving to make a meaningful impact and do the role justice.
Beyond my role as a teacher, I am a wife and a proud mum to two wonderful girls who fill my life with joy. Running on coffee, I love nothing more than beach walks and any excuse to be outdoors in the sunshine. When winter rolls around, you’ll find me hibernating under blankets with plenty of snacks—no shame in that!
I am delighted to be part of the team here at Bildeston and look forward to meeting you all, working with your children, and supporting them in the years ahead.
