Mr S Welham (Music Teacher)

I have been teaching music lessons at Bildeston for the last three years.

My profession is as a private music teacher specialising in Piano, Keyboard, and Organ, as well as Ukulele, Guitar and Musical Theatre. I have taught all ages for the last twenty years and have an ALCM qualification in Keyboard Tuition. 

I compose musicals and have twice written Whatfield School's Nativity show, as well as other musical theatre projects for local companies. I enjoy finding creative ways to encourage the pupils at Bildeston to use their ears, to take in what they are hearing and not just treat music as background noise. Hopefully I will inspire them to love this amazing subject! I also enjoy playing the church organ at special school events.

Apart from always trying to finish my next musical, I enjoy time with my girls, exploring vintage technology and finding out what makes it tick. I am also partial to model railways... Yes, a train spotter!
