Since qualifying in 2000 from Homerton college, Cambridge, with a B'ed hons in English, I began teaching in a primary school in Saffron Walden.  After moving to Suffolk, I worked as a supply teacher for many local schools, including very regularly for Bildeston Primary school.  I took on a permanent position at Bildeston in 2010 and am currently the Kestrels' class teacher (years 5 and 6), although I have also taught years 1,2 and 3 during this period.

For many years I was the lead at Bildeston for Maths but exchanged this role in 2021 for the English lead across our federation (Whatfield Primary School), working alongside the Reading and phonics lead for the federation.  I also lead the KS2 team and have enjoyed being mentor to a number of student teachers in recent years.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking and spending quality fun times with family, friends and of course, my whacky dog, Archie!'
