PGCE in Primary Education

Hello! My name is Ms Carley, and I’m thrilled to be part of the dedicated team here at Bildeston.

I’ve worked in education for over 21 years, supporting children from nursery age right through to Key Stage 2. My journey has taken me through a variety of roles—including pre-school manager, teaching assistant, and specialist SALT TA—each one deepening my passion for helping children thrive. After supporting my own four children through their school years, I completed my PGCE in 2019 and stepped fully into classroom teaching.

In 2023, I relocated from Kent to Suffolk, bringing with me a deep love of reading and a strong interest in speech and language development—two areas I believe are the foundation of all learning across the curriculum. I’m committed to creating a classroom where every child feels heard, supported, and inspired to grow.

Outside of school, life is wonderfully busy! I’m a proud mum to two boys and two girls, and now a very happy gran. When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me zipping over the Dartford Crossing for baby cuddles, which are absolutely worth the journey every time.
