Safeguarding & Child Protection

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined for the purposes of this guidance as:

  • providing help and support to meet the needs of children as soon as problems emerge
  • protecting children from maltreatment, whether that is within or outside the home, including online
  • preventing the impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development
  • ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
  • taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes

We take Safeguarding very seriously at Bildeston Primary School.

Should you have any concerns, Mrs L Healy is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Mrs J Shaw is the Alternate Safeguarding Lead along with Mrs N Woodfield.

Mrs J Searle is the Governor responsible for child protection.

Mrs L Healy (Bildeston Primary School) is the Online Safety Lead and the Prevent Lead.

Any other Safeguarding concerns related to the Headteacher can be directed to Mrs H Williams, Chair of Governors by email (CoG@bwfederation.uk).
