Dear parents and carers
Eagle Class Work Plan
We hope that you all had a happy and enjoyable Easter.
The children worked incredibly hard last term and are continuing to make progress. This term we are looking forward to studying some more exciting topics.
In numeracy we are covering fractions, angles, shape and space. Homework will be set on Fridays and is expected to be handed in by Thursdays. Please help your child complete these activities and also encourage them to actively learn their times tables.
In Literacy we are looking at adventure stories, persuasive writing, non-chronological reports and topic linked writing.
In science we will be covering light and animals, including humans (nutrition/skeletons).
Our main topics this term are Saxons and Northern/Southern hemispheres.
We are also lucky enough to be taking part in Forest schools at Bradfield woods where the children will be participating in many different team building and hands on activities.
We are all very excited to be learning Philosophy now in our classrooms. This is allowing our children to broaden their questioning skills and ‘think outside the box’. This initiative has proved, in other studies, to enhance the children’s learning in other subjects.
A more detailed topic web can be found on our class page on the schools web page.
PE is taught on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please ensure that your child has the correct PE kit within school at all times.
If you have any concerns at all about your child or just want a general talk with either of us we are always willing to see you either before school or at pick up time.
